The charm emanating from the landscape that surrounds Capacciola is able to capture for hours the look of anyone. The harmonious contrast between the round shape of the hills and the immense expanses of fields and vineyards that seem to continue to the horizon make our one of the most characteristic areas in the world, worthy of being discovered and visited, so that you can fully live one of the most beautiful experiences that Tuscany is able to give.
To have the opportunity to become part of this bucolic picture, to breathe the air, to touch the rough walls of buildings and secular monuments with your fingers, but also to visit the various countries and try their typical products, taste the wines of the cellars and therefore have an all-round vision, it is right to advise the guests of Capacciola a suggestive adventure riding a bike, to do individually or in company.
There are therefore numerous cycling routes, which wind between Val di Chiana and Val d’Orcia, perfect for letting yourself be enveloped by an incomparable atmosphere. To explore the Val di Chiana you can start from the ancient Torrita di Siena to the most famous medieval city of Montepulciano, crossing hills and vineyards; from Chiusi a scenic route connects the city to one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, San Casciano dei Bagni. The mountain bike lovers can pedal through the heart of Mount Cetona.
For those who want to immerse themselves in Val d’Orcia an optimal starting point is represented by Pienza, artistic heart of the territory and city renowned for the production of Pecorino cheese. From here you can reach Montepulciano or the tiny Bagno Vignoni, a small thermal town with only 30 inhabitants. Castelnuovo dell'Abate offers for the most trained a pleasant course that winds along the land of Brunello. The longest stretch, but also the most capable of creating suggestions is the crossing of Val d’Orcia, which touches various points of interest in the area and which allows, starting and ending in Castiglione d’Orcia, to visit the typical medieval fortresses.
The Canale Maestro della Chiana allows you to pedal or walk in the heart of the Etruscan civilization, joins the cities of Arezzo and Chiusi through a territory subject to a historic reclamation in which the water acts as the protagonist of what is a true path of authenticity.
